A sine wave inverter is an electronic device that can receive direct current (DC) and can produce alternative current (AC). Generally a sinewave inverter use 12 Volt battery power as DC and produce 240 Volt domestic useable electricity also know as alternative current (AC). This type of device is classified in two main categories 1) True (also referred to as “Pure” and 2) Modified (also referred to as “Quasi”).
A true sinewave inverter uses 12 volt battery power as direct current and can produce 240 volt pure alternative current. The produced electricity from a true unit is very much clean and pure and this pure current can play sensitive electronic equipment such as Laptop, Television, Lights, sensitive medical equipment and many more without any lines through screen or making noise or making hot when the equipment runs. They also prevent voltage up-downing while a sensitive equipment is running through it.
A modified unit also uses 12 volt battery power and produces 240 volt electricity, but the produced electricity is not as pure and clean as that from a true unit. For this reason a modified sine wave inverter can be the best solution for everyday using electronic appliance such as micro oven, electric hitters, Iron machine, washing machine, air conditioner and much more. Those electric appliances are best for a modified unit that faces no problem if the voltage up and down while it is playing.
The main difference between a true sinewave inverter and a modified one is the quality of produced electricity. A true unit inverter can produce pure and clean energy for electric equipments, but a modified can’t. Also as there are some sensitive electric equipment that needs pure energy and so that a modified sinewave inverter can’t start those devices, but a pure sinewave inverter can. The appliance’s service life becomes extended if a true sinewave inverter can be used. But if you look at the cost, then you will definitely select a model that produces the modified wave, as it is cheaper than a unit producing a pure wave.
Actually a true sinewave inverter is costly but effective, so if you are limited to your budget, then I will recommend you that buy a small unit for sensitive electric appliances and a larger one for other electric equipments. This will definitely solve your problem.
